As pastors - our mission and job is to help prepare you to get you ready for the Bridegroom. I like to think of this being similar to pre-marriage preparation :-)
For us, that means that when we enter eternity and our work on earth is done, the Lord will ask of us - 'In what ways did your ministry, your teaching and your lives prepare My Bride for Me?'
Just remember, that there is only one foundation upon which to build your life that will last just one second beyond your last heart-beat.
